    The chapter got its start when a small group of payroll professionals decided it was time to provide continuing education and networking opportunities for payroll and human resource professionals in the area. In the future the group hopes to offer study groups for those who would like to sit for the CPP and FPC exams as well as get involved in the community.

          Payroll Tax Specialist, Full Time
          Location:  Greenville, SC

          Minimum Requirements:

          • Associate’s degree in Accounting or other related field required
          • Two – Five years of multi-entity, multi-state pay tax filing experience
          • Detail-oriented with ability to handle repetitive tasks
          • Strong computer skills with ability to learn new software quickly
          • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines
          • Strong Excel skills
          • Strong oral and written communication skills
          • Master Tax experience  a plus

          Responsible for all areas of payroll tax filings, including federal, state and local for PEO, multi-entity and muti-state businesses of varying size and complexity. Additional responsibilities include preparing monthly, quarterly and annual federal and state tax filings; reconciling of tax payments to payroll and general ledger transactions; reconciling of 941, 940 and W-2 forms at year end, resolving tax problems reported by clients or agencies relating to inaccurate or late payments

          HCM Specialist

          Primary Position Summary:  Performance Payroll is looking for a professional to handle our clients in a fun, fast paced, dynamic environment. The HCM Specialist will normally handle a portfolio of clients, assisting with questions relating to their payroll, tax and HR services. The Specialist will be the primary point of contact for all client inquiries. This individual will provide excellent client support and resolve client issues using effective problem solving skills in a timely manner.            Experience:

          • Experience in Human Resources and Payroll Software is preferred
          • Knowledge of payroll processing and account experience is helpful

           Key Result Areas:  
          Specialist is responsible for providing top-notch customer service through relationship building and customer support. (We know our clients' birthdays, and their dogs' names!)

          • Specialist must be comfortable and proactive in reaching out to clients via phone and email to resolve payroll and tax issues. (If you are paralyzed by a ringing phone this may not be the job for you.)
          • Representative must demonstrate ability to respond to client questions in a timely manner.
          • Communicate with Tax Department if client receives a tax notice. Assist Tax Department in communicating next steps for the client.
          • Representative should strive to provide a positive customer experience throughout the entire payroll process.
          • Up-sell clients by periodically explaining the benefits of additional products that the client does not use.
          • Participating in designated client calling, card writing and other retention oriented programs. (We bring Southern Hospitality to the payroll industry.)
          • Maintaining a high rate of client retention through quality service.

           Education / Training / Certifications:

           Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) preferred.

          • BA/BS degree is preferred with a track record of proven customer service skills.
          • Great communication skills are a must.
          • Comfortable with business software is important.

          HCM Implementation Specialist
          Location: Greenville, SC

          Responsibilities: 
          Setup, Training & successful implementation of clients into our Human Capital Management software.
          Act as primary contact for the client during the implementation process and is responsible for all communication regarding implementation plan and timeline.
          Must be comfortable and proactive in reaching out to clients via phone and email regarding all implementation activity.
          Enter previous payroll provider data, if applicable, and follow balancing procedures to ensure all converted data is accurate.
          Process 1st & 2nd payrolls with the client to ensure all set up is accurate and meets client expectations.

          Experience:
          May be helpful to have worked in another Payroll Bureau or CPA
          Candidate should be detail oriented, be able to multi-task, well spoke, good customer service skills, team player, self-motivator, quick learner and have project management skills.

          Education & Certifications:
          CPP or FPC preferred.

           Payroll Administrator
